A gravity corer for taking samples in sandy sediment featuring detachable core tube with a maximum length of 6 m (optional). Up to 12 m in soft or muddy sediment.
The corer is manufactured from AISI 316 stainless steel. Finish: Electropolishing.
The top of the corer has 6 steering fins and below a platform with room for total 10 lead weights, each 20 kg (standard delivery comes with 2 pcs of lead weights).
The corer tube is manufactured from AISI 316 stainless steel. Finish: Electropolishing. Standard delivery is 1500 mm or 3000 mm only.
Optional:
With coupling device(s) and tube(s) you can extend the core and achieve different lengths, up to a maximum of 12 m. This feature provides an easier and more compact transportation of the equipment.
Optional:
The gravity corer will also act as a piston corer by adding extra components, see order no. 13.560.
A removable carver is attached to the end of the corer and inside an orange peel closing system prevents the sample from exit.

O.D 101,6/I.D 93,6 mm x 1500 mm (standard) or 3000 mm.
